MCX K9 is owned and operated by Kevin and his wife Charlene.
Kevin is a former US Marine who now lives on a farm in the Northeast Georgia mountains. With his training and experience as a former K9 handler and law enforcement officer, Kevin Kent has worked with the German Shepherd working dog breed since 1987. Our kennel goals are preserving the integrity of the working german shepherd breed and provide dogs for personal protection, high end sport and law enforcement purposes. MCX K9 breeding priorities are solid orthopedics, stable temperament, and working drives.

I was stationed on the island of Trinidad, West Indies when I bought my first German Shepherd in 1987. I was assigned the duty of dog trainer and handler for the marine detachment on the island. I appropriately named him BLASTER and when I moved back to the USA Blaster was recruited as a police dog for the Doraville Police dept. He ended up saving his handlers life one day while doing a traffic stop.
ARCO was my second K9. He and I started the first K9 unit in Roswell PD. Arco was sworn in as a dual purpose K9 March 1997.
CHIEF was my personal protection dog and is presently a certified explosive detection dog and presently works with a Sheriff's Dept in NC.
I have had several other working quality dogs pass through my life all of which were family members as well as protectors of our home.
All 12 pups have turned out to be vibrant and energetic and fast growers. Cheyenne is a very attentive mom
